tnwk is an ongoing body of work made in full collaboration between cris cheek and Kirsten Lavers, since 1999. Their individual practices, continue. However, the collaborative work of tnwk, co-devised, co-produced, co-circulated and co-owned is Cheek and Lavers primary activity: realised through indicative videographic works, serial bookart, and co-drawings in response to the transience of projected current affairs media reportage. Their approach is multi-faceted in terms of both outcomes and processual strategies, chiefly found through the idea of conversation/s, in which each participant brings their own experiences, references and approaches and allows them to be transformed through conversational interaction into works that neither one would or could individually manifest.
